InnovAero Academy is an upcoming educational course where you can learn about the rules and regulations of operating UAVs and become certified drone pilots in Brunei. Our aim is to ensure the safety and proper maintenance of the airspace in Brunei and to prevent any possible damage to the airspace and environment, which is a risk that comes with operating UAVs. By training and certifying drone pilots, we hope to open the door for new employment opportunities for the public, whether it be in the professional industry or hobbyist context.
π¨οΈ Introduction
The Academy consists of two main parts: theoretical and practical. Upon registering, students will be required to attend the theory class, after which they will then be required to practice flying using flight simulation software. Once this is completed, they will undergo a theoretical exam consisting of fifty questions. Students will only be allowed to advance to the practical training if they pass the theoretical exam. The practical training consists of supervised outdoor flight operations as well as route and maneuverability tests. Once completed, students are required to take the practical exam before officially βgraduatingβ and being certified UAV pilots.

β Airspace Law and Legislations
To provide students with relevant knowledge of the local airspace law and legislation and other associated regulations for the safe and responsible operation of UAVs.

π UAV General Knowledge
To provide students with basic and technical knowledge of UAVs including the different categories of UA, the various applications of UAS, the functionality of various UAS components and systems, and more.

βοΈ UAS Safety and Operations
To provide students with the necessary
knowledge to ensure safe and responsible UAV operation, including required procedures and safeguards; and human performance affecting safe UAV operations.

To provide the students with the necessary
knowledge in regards to navigation and
meteorology to ensure a safe and responsible UAV operation.

π» Flight Simulation Training
Objective data collection and reporting,
basic training modules, simulated laws and regulations and notification of violations,
weather variations training, various aircraft model training, and real-time feedback.

βοΈ Outdoor Flight Training
Flight maneuvers via manual controls, mission planning and execution, emergency procedures, site safety procedures, pre-flight procedures, in-flight awareness, post-flight procedure, takeoff and landing.

Throughout the period of the course, students will be provided with the relevant equipment to ensure a cohesive and standardized learning environment.
